• This is an ancient Chinese tale where a white snake spirit, assisted by a compassionate young man, pledges to repay his kindness. After enduring rigorous and extensive training, the White Snake acquires potent magical abilities and assumes human form to seek out the young man. Along her journey, she aids a Green Snake who, in return, decides to accompany her. Will she succeed in finding the young man and fulfilling her debt of gratitude?

• Main Characters
• Bai Niang: A white snake spirit whose real name is Bai Suzhen. To repay the young man who aided her, she attains formidable magical powers following 1000 years of training.
• Xiao Qing: A green snake spirit (various theories exist suggesting she might even be a fish spirit). She chooses to dedicate herself to serving Bai Niang after Bai saves her life.
• Xu Xian: A kindhearted human man who happens to be the reincarnation of the young man who once assisted Bai Niang.
• Fa Hai: A human Buddhist priest who perceives spirits as inherently evil. Upon encountering magical powers, he develops hives and feels itchy.
